A pleasant glass of good wine enjoyed in the company of friends is one of  life’s great joys. This enjoyment is surely enhanced when the product has been made by people with 'passion', dedication and sometimes complete lunacy! In this age of “big business rules”, it takes real tenacity to be a small boutique winemaker. We are delighted to tell you that they are alive and surviving. The good producers are flourishing! We are starting to increase our range of organic and bio-diversity wines, so look-out these special wines.

Sadly most of the branded wines lack personality. They are factory wines made to a recipe used throughout the world; sanitised, pasteurised and heavily filtered to ensure the liquid produced is ‘consistency’ year in year outr. No different to anything that is massed produced, 'safe but dull'.

Join us in discovering ‘real’ quality, regional wines, created by small producers, who are driven by ‘passion’. You will discover some unique wines with personality, emanating from the dedication and enthusiasm only to be found from ‘boutique’ producers. Here you will find ‘pure’ enjoyment in your glass of wine and often a good story to tell.

On this website you will find many wines that we have personally shipped from the vineyard, offering you a sense of exclusivity. Our selection process starts firstly on the grounds of quality through our wines tastings. Then we look at the price, followed by the decision: Is there a genuine balance between quality and price? And finally: Does this wine offer something extra to our customers? Is it an organic wine? Is it a regional wine with a difference? Will the wine-taste suite our customers’ tastes? In other words, we strive to find that unique point of difference from the ‘major’ brands. When all these questions have a ‘tick in the box’, we start to negotiate! More importantly, we start to build that essential 'rapport' with our French and other regional producers!

We do not expect our customers to pay ‘over the odds’ for any of their wines. Equally we do expect our producers to receive a "fair price" for their wines, that they have made so well and sell to us, so that the wines you buy will give ‘pure’ enjoyment with every sip!
